There is merely a thin membrane between this and other worlds. Those of us who find this physical world dull and bland and limiting are apt to want to "pierce the veil" and transcend the confines of this world. I myself have tried this via various means over the years...but here I still am, waiting for my veil to be rent asunder by my own passing.

It seems you can touch these other places in dreams. Sometimes I wake up and have lingering images and sounds of places both alien and home-like...places that call to my heart and to my soul. Someday I'll visit them again, and I won't have to be unconscious to go there.
