about

All through our amusing little history on this sad little planet, there have been those avatars that have attempted to lead the unwilling and uninterested masses down a path of higher evolution. Whether they have been full-blown enlightened beings like Christ or Buddha, or simply evolved souls trying their best to take the high road despite their own limitations and human frailties (Gandhi comes immediately to mind), we have had many guiding lights who have selflessly given of themselves to do their part to keep humanity from sliding headlong into the abyss of total barbarism.

The second half of this release is about a hypothetical one of them, an average (though sensitive) individual who finds enlightenment at the end of a tailspin of anxiety and angst.

Our story starts with our nameless hero caught up in confronting the futility of his increasingly stressful daily routine as part of the same machine of commerce that controls 99.9999% of all of us. He finds that his life has become little more than a series of reactions to external stimuli and that he is essentially merely a leaf drifting on the random breezes of circumstances beyond his control. He is "propelled by momentum" and his life is being spent in service to a system he did not create.

lyrics

THE PROPHET

Propelled by momentum, keeping me aflame.
Keep me here for someone's sake, I know it isn't mine.

Drowned in worldly contention, stifled and restrained.
I look calm but I'm barely contained, and something's got to give.

Pulled up by dawning awareness, illusions shatter in the light.
I feel the breakthrough but I'm so afraid, what will happen to me?

Ludi lives off-grid in a yurt in the woods of WI and will "fight the power" til he dies. ... more
