about

This is an early project that I like enough to make public, but is kind of a secondary release. It was originally going to be a vocal album...kind of a big space opera about an alien species bent on its own self-destruction (like humanity), but the limits of the Fostex 8-Track reel to reel were hit pretty hard by the instrumentals alone, so I decided to keep it instrumental.

I was trying to structure the music and sounds as something that would be made by some odd and alternate sentient species...sort of elevator music from a deranged and warlike species.

It's best used as background music, I have found. I did my best to make it less clangy and noisy that it used to be.

about

John Ludi Madison, Wisconsin

John Ludi is a musician/singer-songwriter with a wide array of influences and lyrical interests who was "Indie" before the term even existed. Working outside of the music industry by choice has given Ludi the ability to release songs of a level of lyrical depth that are anathema to the minds of the "suits". Ludi lives off-grid in a yurt in the woods of WI and will "fight the power" til he dies. ... more
